Plant/Animal/Human

1992-1993

“These biomorphic sculptures explore the interconnectedness of all living things: plant, animal, and human. The female body and the healing, erotic power of flowing movement is my primary interest. I was inspired by the forms of sea shells, fashion and architecture, including contemporary Japanese haute couture and the fluted columns of ancient Greek architecture.” The sculptures were first exhibited in the two-person show, Ceramics & Painting: Kathy Kranias and Lisa Bernstein at E-Side Studios in Toronto, 1993.
