These photos document two solo exhibitions. "Becoming the Persephone", curated by Janette Platana, was installed at the Art Gallery of Peterborough, Canada in 2009. The themes in the exhibition draw from the ancient greek myth of Demeter and Persephone and its relationship to transformative processes, including loss and change as well as creation and destruction. "Archetypes in Clay: recent work" was exhibited at David Kaye Gallery in Toronto, Canada in 2010. The ceramic objects explore female strength, grace, wisdom and desire. The study is contextualized within archetypal forms found in ancient Greek mythology. Kathy created images of the female psyche, drawing on her own Greek heritage and distilled from the stories of the goddesses Persephone, Athena and Artemis.
